The End Times???

No, not the biblical end times, though Christianity is heavily woven into the American fabric, but internal symtoms of the breakdown of the system. As the snake eats it tail, it consumes itself, even as it thinks it is winning. The two wings of the main political party, the republicans and the democrats, no longer bash each other for media attention, but instead have turned to internal attacks, feeding on their own and greatly affecting faith in the system. And faith is really what it comes down to, for the system would collapse completely without faith that it was moral and just. But, that faith is waning as the main faith of the American public, Christianity, also continues feeding on its own. The mere fact that there are about 50 different versions of Christianity confirms that someone has got it all wrong. In fact, if there is only one true God, then there is only one true religion in support of that God. And I think it quite likely that not only are 49 out of the 50 wrong about their interpretations of Christ and his teachings, but that all 50 are wrong.

At the top of the first page of WorldNetDaily today, you find an article describing an attack, from one Christian to another, that took place this weekend on the Fox News Network, between Julie Banderas and a Chrisitian Minister from the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, KS. Here is an excerpt from the story…

Banderas engaged in a heated, rapid-fire, name-calling exchange with Phelps-Roper, which included:

Banderas: "The Bible says 'the fear of the Lord is hatred of evil,' [from the Book of] Proverbs. 'Pride and arrogance and the way of evil and perverted speech I hate.' Perverted speech like yours: 'God hates fags.' You are preaching absolute B.-., and you know the final letter."

Phelps-Roper: "If you don't tell them that this nation is full of idolatry, full of adulteries …

Banderas: "Full of insane people like yourself, ma'am."

Phelps-Roper: "You're proud. You're proud of your sins. You can't do enough sinning. You think 'gay' pride, bimbo. You have sinned away your day of grace."

Banderas: "OK, you are an abomination."

Phelps-Roper: "America is doomed. America is doomed. … Before your eyes, missy, you're gonna see the destruction of America."

Banderas: "If America is doomed, then why don't you get out? Why are you in this country? Why are you an American? Are you an American?"

Phelps-Roper: "I am exactly where my God put me to tell you plainly, that you are going to hell, and there's nothing you can do about it."

Banderas: "Why don't you take your church to another country, then, ma'am? Thank you so much. You should not be proud to be an American, and thank you. Good-bye."

More here…

Interestingly, Joseph "Murder a Muslim for the Messiah" Farah, a rabid faux Christian in his own right, and who seems to think that Christ carries an M-16 and is a general in the US Army, put this article at the top of the Monday morning page. I am not sure what he is trying to say to us, other than approach all Christians with the caution reserved for vipers.

AS the system further degrades and people become more desperate to impose their values on everyone else, expect to see more fireworks. Pop some corn and enjoy the show!!!

"Recently I was reading somewhere or other about an Italian curio-dealer who attempted to sell a 17th century crucifix to J.P. Morgan. Inside it was concealed a stiletto. What a perfect symbol of the Christian religion." — George Orwell

"It is remarkable that among all the preachers there are so few moral teachers. The prophets are employed in excusing the ways of men." — Henry David Thoreau

  1. The answer to whether we’re living in End Times is Yes and No.

No, I do not believe that the current global situation means an imminent end of the world, the doomsday scenario so many teach and believe.

Yes, we are reaching the end of an age. We are on the cusp of a new age. So, we are currently experiencing the necessary changes and shifts before the new age can commence.

Personally, I think at least one Christian religion in 50 is correct, but that all 50 are out of order, as all 50 are participating in the insurrection of the Federal Reserve which prevents the restoration of a Republican form of governance. That institution must go the way of the dinosaur before the new can make its appearance. The misaligned intelligence of the PTB does not concern me. It is the ignorance of my countrymen that really gets my boxers in a bunch!

The awful reality is that the Creator leaves it up to us to clean up the mess. That is a scary thought because unfortunately, most Americans won’t do anything until it hits them in the wallet, so it’s going to be a rough ride in the near future for the vast majority.

No doubt the wise ones are well stocked on popcorn.

  2. Hello Dave,

I used to read your blog a couple of years ago (while following Doug Kenline’s antics) and, just for the hell of it, Googled your name to see if you were still around. I was surprised to find a very different looking blog although still quite interesting. My main question is, what happened to the Free State Project? Did you move to KY? Maybe you could direct me to some links to catch me up to speed. Good to read you again.

    Thanks,
    George

  3. Hi Ron,

I agree, entirely. The Federal Reserve is the Biggest problem we have. Without it, the government has to take much more direct ways to raise revenue to do the things it does (and isn’t supposed to…). The people would never give up the amlount of money required to run a government of this size. The only reason it exists right now is borrowing.

Thanks for stopping by. BTW, I was mainly referring to faux Christians, not real ones.

  4. Hi George,

Welcome back! I originally blogged un the goodyearfamily.net address. I have archives of it on my machine and most of them can be found on the Way-Back-Machine at http://www.archive.org/web/web.php . Just put the above address in their Way Back Machine search field and you should be able to find some interesting things, including our experience with Hurricane Charlie (too close for comfort, look in the August 2004 archive).

After ending that blog, I decided to get back into blogging using blogspot. The address is http://jeffersoniantoo.blogspot.com/

I believe I have successfully imported the archives and comments from that one to this one, so you most of what is there, you can find here, as well.

Again, welcome back and thanks for the comment.

    😉

  5. George,

One other thing… I just noticed that one of the wallpapers I used to use is no longer available and fills some of the pages with a rather disruptive background ad. Just turn off image displays for that page or session you should be able to browse the text. Or you can highlight the text you want read and it should be legible.

    Good luck!

    🙂
